Data Access Worldwide events provide opportunities for in-person training with our development team to enhance your knowledge and skills with the DataFlex platform.

Course Details

Half-day Courses - $200 USD: Are scheduled either in the morning from 8am-12pm, or in the afternoon from 1pm-5pm. Lunch and one break are included.

Full-day Courses - $350 USD: Are scheduled from 9am-5pm, and include lunch and two breaks.

Tuesday, September 19th 

Support Lab

Instructors: Vincent Oorsprong, Dennis Piccioni, & Marcia Booth

Half-day, Morning

This unique, in-person support opportunity allows DataFlex developers to bring their programming challenges, issues, and questions to experts from Data Access to troubleshoot and find solutions. We welcome participants to submit topics, questions, and issues beforehand, so that the Data Access team has time to prepare. Of course, new topics can be presented the day of the event, and they will be addressed if time allows.

Taming Your Data Dictionaries

Instructor: Vincent Oorsprong

Half-day, Afternoon

Many new features and settings, such as row and column based commit, SQL filters, and DDO table relationships, were first introduced in DataFlex v18.1 with Data Dictionaries 2.0. This half day training will provide in-depth details on how and where to implement some of them.

How secure is secure, what are hackers capable of, and how can you defend against them? All of these questions will get answered during this training. What algorithms should be used and so much more will be discussed to make sure your applications are up-to-date with the latest and greatest in application security!

Build Great Looking Interfaces for Web and Windows Apps

The DataFlex Web Controls have advanced into a sophisticated set of UI components over the last several releases. Many features have been added like drag ‘n drop, list grouping and column rearranging, context menus and the new grid layout system. With FlexTron all these features are also accessible in the windows environment. Learn how to use these features to build great looking user interfaces for both web and windows.

Convert to the Latest DataFlex

Instructors: Vincent Oorsprong, Dennis Piccioni, & Marcia Booth

Half-day, Morning

Be guided through the needed steps to migrate older, Windows-style applications to the most current version of DataFlex while leveraging the use of new classes, structs, conversions from OEM/ANSI to UTF-8 or UTF-16, managed connections, and SQL improvements.
